Katie Prinsen, owner of Prince coffee, shared with Sprudge: “I felt like there was a big need for better coffee in this neighborhood, especially because I think there’s a lot of people like me who live here and appreciate it.” Katie makes her own stroopwafels in-house — don’t miss out!

Jim & Patty’s Coffee People: serving freshly roasted coffee beans since 1972, pioneering one of the nation's first espresso drive-thrus, and continuously committed to offering the best drinks with the finest beans and house-made baked goods.

Happy Day Juice Company: a vibrant juice bar that serves refreshing beverages to the community daily.

Pip’s Original Doughnuts & Chai: Pip's Original Doughnuts & Chai is a beloved establishment in Portland, known for its fresh mini doughnuts and house-blended chai.

Grand Central Bakery: Offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options, with menu items like Bacon Egg Bolo, Cheddar Egg Biscuit, Sausage Egg Biscuit, and The Basic for breakfast.

Nepali Kitchen and Chai Garden: offers a delightful culinary experience with its authentic Nepali cuisine and a cozy ambiance perfect for enjoying a cup of chai. The NE Fremont Chai Garden is actually their second location, with the original serving the people of Lincoln City for nine years. According to father-and-son owners Sarbajya and Pranaya Dangol, they were the only Nepalese restaurant in Lincoln City! When Prayana was accepted into Portland State University, the family business moved to the city.
